Probate

We understand that losing a loved one can be a difficult and emotional time and aim to make the process as straight forward as possible with an empathetic and understanding approach to support you through the process.

We will guide you through the procedure of probate with our focus entirely on making the process as easy as possible.

We can assist with all aspects of estate administration including intestacy in the absence of a Will.

The fee for Probate starts at £1050.00 plus VAT depending on the work required.

Should you require further information in this regard, please do not hesitate to ask.

We don't use confusing legal jargon and we offer simple fixed fees with no hidden or unexpected costs.

Deed of Variation

When a loved one passes away leaving a will that does not suit family needs at that time or is not tax efficient, it is possible to redirect a gift to another person.

This is dealt with by a Deed of Variation. To be effective this must be done within two years of the date of passing.

Trust Deed

For many people the purchase of a property is your biggest investment.

A Trust Deed (also known as a Declaration of Trust) can determine ownership shares of the property and protect unequal deposit contributions to ensure you safeguard your investment.

Lasting power of attorneys

Protecting your interests is not just about making a Will. Having a Lasting Power of Attorney in place will ensure that in the event you are unable to make decisions for yourself, you have appointed a person you trust to make those decisions on your behalf.

This can be both for financial and property decisions and matters of health and welfare.

Our fees are £375.00 plus VAT for a single document and if you require both documents at the same time, the fee is £675.00 plus VAT. In addition to this fee, the Office of the Public Guardian require £82.00 per document for registration purposes.

Enduring power of attorneys

Whilst you can no longer make Enduring Powers of Attorney those already created remain valid and there are many people that have one in place.

When an Enduring Power of Attorney needs to be used the Attorney/s must register the EPA with the Office of the Public Guardian.

The Office of the Public Guardian have very specific regulations as to how the use of the document must be registered and we can guide you through the steps.

The fee for this document is £375.00 plus vat and in addition the Office of the Public Guardian require a registration fee of £82.00.

Court of protection

When a person loses the mental capacity to make their own decisions it can become necessary to apply to the Court of Protection for a Deputyship Order. The Court will appoint a Deputy to make decisions on their behalf.

This can be a complex process and our aim is to help you to understand and guide you through the necessary steps to obtain the Order.

Wenborne Weller & Spooner is an excellent firm. They have done a mission impossible job. The sale of our property was very challenging. Everything needed to be done in a very short time and Charlie Wenborne and her team have excelled where others would have failed.

I just wanted to say how much it means to always be able to speak to someone on the telephone when we contact your office. When buying and selling properties in the past, being unable to contact our Solicitor when we’ve needed to at times, made a stressful experience even more difficult.

Mr and Mrs Holmes

We have used Francesca for the conveyancing of 3 house moves and would never use anyone else. She is a breath of fresh air when it comes to solicitors, friendly, approachable and exceptionally knowledgeable. Thank you Fran for all you have done for us, you have gone above and beyond at every stage.

Ami Staples

I've worked with Francesca for over 10 years. In every instance she has shown her capability & professionalism. She exceeds expectations & always proves her knowledge & skill. I would have no hesitation in recommending her & her team.

Amanda Heffernan

We've used Charlie several times over the years when we've moved home. The service we get is so friendly and reliable we wouldn't think of using anyone else now. She is completely brilliant.
